Taxi drivers say one of their biggest daily struggles isn’t traffic — it’s finding a bathroom.
Drivers are urging city leaders to adopt two measures that would make life on the road easier. One proposal would give TLC-licensed drivers the right to use restrooms in small businesses and shops. Another would allow them to park in commercial zones for up to 30 minutes without getting fined, giving them time to take necessary breaks.
The Federation of Taxi Drivers is calling the push the Right to Relief Act, framing it as an issue of fairness and basic human dignity.
