Following a series of incidents targeting for-hire vehicle operators, NYSFTD has joined a multi-organization coalition urging the NYPD and TLC to develop a dedicated task force to address driver safety. The coalition is pushing for improved incident reporting tools, enhanced street lighting near high-crime pickup zones, and mandatory safety training programs.
